Role: Architectural Designer & Project Manager
The project involved the transformation of an existing garage into a vibrant 470-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU), enhancing the property with a private bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, and a cozy patio space. Central to the project are the large glass doors in the bedroom and kitchen, which create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience and enhance the functionality and charm of the space.
The design introduces a playful use of color as seen with the exterior walls and the custom-designed door on the interior. Both feature geometric patterns inspired by Mondrian’s iconic style, creating a bold visual statement that seamlessly blends art with architecture.
